Kat Brunnegraff may be a new comer to the designer toy scene, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been making waves already. Known for her distinct night-like style, she made her appearance to the scene in the beginning of this year starting with her Custom Illazilla which was featured on the cross-country tour. She also did a custom toy tutorial for us last month back in May. We had a chance to catch up with Kat and ask her a few questions!

Patrick Francisco from New York City has been known in the custom toy scene for his unusually realistic interpretations of gorillas/monkeys on his toy pieces making his toys truly remarkable. At Custom Toy Lab, Patrick has been featured many times on our blog, I’m pretty sure we can guess why? Not only does he do art on toys, he always creates art on other mediums allowing him to be quite diverse in what he does. I’d like to introduce all you readers to Patrick Francisco.
Custom Toy Lab:
Please tell us about yourself Patrick.
Patrick Francisco:
Thanks, Raphael, for talking kindly about my work. I spent some years in the Philippines, but was born in Jersey City, and now live in Brooklyn. I have a BFA in Illustration from SUNY FIT. I am REALLY obsessed with my cat. I paint ape type creatures, often in their underwear.

For the first time ever, this site we’d like to present our first artist interview ever. Joining us for the interview is UK’s James yeah?. Whether you’ve seen his Flickr photostream, emergency or been on his Myspace page, you’ll know that his pieces are interesting and unique with every project that he does. Getting away from the small details, we’d like to get to the more interesting part of this interview! Without further ado, Custom Toy Lab would like to present James yeah?
Custom Toy Lab:
First of all, we’d like you to thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us. Talking to you previously, this happens to be your first artist interview ever, not to mention it’s our first here on the site as well. How does it feel?
James yeah?:
It’s pretty exciting if not a little nerve racking, I’m honored you’d ask me though and I’d like to say a big thanks to you and to Custom Toy Lab for asking me to do this, I hope I don’t come across badly ha.
