On January 22, Magic Pony will be hosting the toy launch for Kidrobot’s Ye Old English Dunny Series. Of course, there will be many launch parties happenning all around the world on this day, although it’s one of the many happening within North America. Along with the toy launch, there will be a trading party as well where participants can trade Dunnies with one another or other toys they wish to trade. Magic Pony will also be awarding limited edition prizes from TADO, Jon Burgerman and many more to those who dress up as their favourite Brit. This is an event you won’t want to miss!

Artists in the series include Clutter, Doktor A, Frames, HiCalorie x Julie West, ilovedust, Jon Burgerman, Keanan Duffty, McFaul, Mimic, Peskimo, Shok 1, Tado, Triclops and UAMOU.

Drawings that accompany the Munny found in the event poster will be available for show as well at the event. Scribe himself will be present for the event. That means you’ll be able to meet Scribe for yourself, but even get an autograph if you wish!

On August 22, the APW Gallery will be presenting it’s House of Liu Customs Show which will feature the works of many customized House of Liu toys. Artists such as Steve Talkowski, Hans Yim, Kerry Lee are some of the many artists who will have their toys up for display. These artists have had their toys featured on our website in the past. The show will run from August 22 until September 4 which means you’ll have tons of time if you are unable to make it for the opening reception. This will definitely be a show you won’t want to miss, enjoy and congratulations to all the artists who will be showcasing their customized toys!

LIFT Designer Toys will be presenting it’s MADL Citizens event which will feature over 40+ customized 10″ DIY tall DIY MAD*L figure. Customized Mad*L toys from artists such as Squidnik, Slobot, and Mr. Shane Jessup will be some of the many toys up for display. These artists have had their toy featured in the past on our blog. Although the date is still tentative, it will be held on October 25 of this year. We will keep you updated if the date changes. If your in the Royal Oak area, be sure to check this event out!

Brian Colin’s presents his solo show at two locations, at the Elliot Street Deli & Pub (August 22), but also at the Doogallery (August 23) on two seperate dates consecutively. From this show you can expect to the see the works of Brian Colin’s which include art pieces and custom Munnies. The show at the Doogallery requires that all attendees be 21+, but also contributions of $10 donation which will include free beer and music. An art raffle will also be held at the event, so those in the Atlanta area should check this show out for sure! You have two opportunities to do so.

On August 28, Magic Pony will presenting UK duo’s Tado (Mike & Katie) with a special art exhibition and exclusive toy release. The exhibition makes way for Tado’s Cannibal Funfair minifigure series, but also Tulip figure, a character from the series. The series itself features 17 three-inch vinyl characters (Ziggy, Piggle, Bearflan, and more!). Not to mention, that Tulip carries eight accessories which happen to include a screwdriver and saw, how ironic is that? The exhibition will be held in a forest like environment, which will be setup for the event. For those in Toronto, this is a MUST show for all toy lovers out there.

Custom Toy Lab will exclusively be covering this event, along with pictures and a review so keep your eyes out for that.

ToyQube is celebrating their 4th Anniversary of running and will be holding festivities at the Sullivan Room. This event also includes the Sharky Show which ToyQube has asked more than 50+ artists to customize Keith Poon’s Sharky vinyl toy. Some artists include are Tokidoki, Riot68, and Sketchguy. For those in the NY area, this is definitely a show you’ll all want to check out. The works of some of these artists have been featured in the past on our blog, Custom Toy Lab.
